I have max care and I know my car. I’ve been having my car for over a year now and it recently starting acting funny. I especially noticed it when I had just gotten an oil change during the storm I had to get another one. I then bough my car here through max car to help with the issue they told me I needed an oil change I said I just got one 3 weeks ago and before that 3 weeks ago I said please take a deeper look I know my car something is wrong 3 oils changes in 3 months that’s red flags. They all where so nonchalant didn’t care what I had to say which is bad considering the fact I just had surgery barley could talk. The next day I was driving my car and smelled burning rubber as I been smelling the past few months bough my car to the nearest Firestone and they told me I had a oil leak. Which then I had to spend more money. I don’t know if it was because I was a woman they didn’t care what I had to say or my skin color or they just flat out don’t care, but I spent money that was a waste never again.
I’m sorry that you feel the way you do regarding the way your vehicle was handled. Let me address a couple of things. First the car came in running rough and killing sometimes. We checked the car and there were some service codes related to the variable valve timing on the car. The first thing we do is check the engine oil condition and level. It was barely showing on the dipstick. That’s when we called you and you stated the oil had just been changed. Later you had said it was changed 3 times. I personally looked under the vehicle for leaks and while there may have been normal seepage from a few spots which is to be expected for a 10 year old car, there definitely was no evidence of an oil leak that would’ve leaked that much in that short amount of time. 2 things are happening here. Either whoever is changing you oil hasn’t been putting enough oil on the engine or the engine is burning oil. If it’s the latter, there is either excessive wear in the engine or the turbocharger is causing the problem. We do not do internal engine work. I would suggest you bring the car to the dealer. The second thing is that I can promise you that you were not treated differently because of the fact that you are a woman or the color of your skin. I find that accusation very offensive. The vast majority of the clients walking through my doors are women and everyone is welcome at my shop.
